“We Give” Annual County Employee Giving Campaign
Valley Health Foundation (VHF) is your foundation supporting the mission and work of the County of Santa Clara Health System.
Every year, the We Give campaign invites County staff to partner with Valley Health Foundation to improve the health of our community. We Give is also the yearly opportunity to make an on-going commitment through payroll deduction donations, a simple and impactful way to ensure high quality care and resources are always available to all.
This year, as a thank you, we are hosting our first We Give raffle! The more you give, the more chances to win you will receive.

What is the We Give Raffle?
As a thank you for your gift, we are hosting the very first We Give raffle. Sign up to give via payroll deduction by October 31, 2024 and you can win one of our many fun prizes, including the grand prize of the newest Apple Watch.
The more you give, the more chances to win a prize! Current donors will also get chances to win based on their giving.
The raffle will be hosted on November 1, 2024. Tickets will be virtual and pulled using a random number generator.
This year’s raffle prizes include:
- Apple Watch Series 10 in aluminum, with GPS and cellular (value: $499)
- Keurig K-Café Smart (value: $200)
- Two (2) all-day ski vouchers to Tahoe Donner (value: $200)
- SFMOMA dual level membership (value: $200)
- Two (2) tickets to any SFJAZZ show (value: $200)
- Two (2) tickets to any preview performance at American Conservatory Theater (value: $200)
- Two (2) tickets for Section 2, any performance in Classics Series at Symphony San Jose ($144)
- Eight (8) tickets to 2025 San Jose Giant home games (value: $144)
- $100 gift certificate to Elizabeth’s Flowers
- Two (2) vouchers for an Intro to Rope Climbing class at Movement Sunnyvale (value $66)
- $20 gift card to California Fish Grill
- $25 gift card to Cheesecake Factory
- Tickets to Happy Hollow Zoo
How many chances to win will I receive?You will receive chances to win based on your giving level.
- $8 - $10 per pay period: One (1) ticket
- $11 - $15 per pay period: Two (2) tickets
- $16 - $20 per pay period: Three (3) tickets
- $21 - $25 per pay period: Four (4) tickets
- $26 - $35 per pay period: Six (6) tickets
- $36 - $45 per pay period: Eight (8) tickets
- $46 - $55 per pay period: Ten (10) tickets
- $56 - $80 per pay period: Twelve (12) tickets
- $81 - $100 per pay period: Fourteen (14) tickets
- $101 - 250 per pay period: Sixteen (16) tickets)
- $251 - $350 per pay period: Twenty (20) tickets)
- $350+ per pay period: +2 tickets every additional $25

You can sign up to make a payroll deduction using this online form or the below pledge forms. Payroll deduction donations will be reflected in the first pay period of January.

Why should I give to Valley Health Foundation’s We Give campaign?
When you donate to Valley Health Foundation, your dollars will benefit a cause you know well - and you will be able to see the impact firsthand!
Your donation to VHF helps to fund basic and urgent needs of patients; invest in essential equipment, supplies, training, and technology for healthcare staff; support staff wellness and appreciation efforts; and more. Together, we improve the health and health outcomes for everyone in Santa Clara County.
How much should I give?
A gift in any amount is greatly appreciated. With each gift, Valley Health Foundation grows stronger in our ability to support, innovate, and advocate better health for all.
Payroll deduction donations are especially impactful - and the more you give, the more chances to win a prize in the We Give raffle! Together, through payroll deduction donations alone, employee donors give over $150,000 every year towards the health of our community.
Is my contribution tax deductible?
Yes. Valley Health Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization. All contributions are 100% tax-deductible in accordance with federal law.
