2025 Big Bike Build
December 13, 2025 - 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Santa Clara County Fairgrounds - Pavilion
Goal: 1,000 bikes built and distributed to kids in our community in a single day!
Build a bike. Change a life.

Each December, hundreds of volunteers come together for a high-energy, hands-on event that makes the holidays unforgettable for local kids in need. We call it the Big Bike Build—and it’s your chance to be part of something big, joyful, and deeply impactful.
This year, we're building 1,000 brand-new bikes—complete with helmets and locks—for children and youth across Santa Clara County. With your help, these bikes will become more than a gift. They’ll be a gateway to health, freedom, and confidence.
What Is the Big Bike Build?
- A one-day event where volunteers assemble bikes from the ground up
- A unique team-building experience for companies, families, and community groups
- A program that supports equity in access to play, mobility, and independence
- A chance to help kids live healthier, more connected lives
Since 2003, Turning Wheels for Kids has distributed over 50,000 bikes through community-based organizations, clinics, schools, and local nonprofits. Your partnership helps us reach the next 1,000.
