Generosity strengthens our County health system.
Advocacy protects it.
For more than 35 years, Valley Health Foundation has turned community generosity into stronger care for everyone who relies on Santa Clara Valley Healthcare. But some of the biggest threats to our County health system cannot be solved with a gift alone. They are decisions made in Sacramento and Washington, rules that shift from year to year, and gaps between the agencies and organizations that serve the same families.
That is why we advocate. Valley Health Foundation uses its voice, its relationships, and its independence to shape policy, bring partners together, and move resources to where they protect care. In 2025, our community proved what that looks like when voters passed Measure A to protect our local hospitals. Our advocacy programs carry that same spirit forward: proactive, collaborative, and focused on results people can feel.
Each program below brings together the County, health care providers, funders, and community organizations around one shared plan. Explore the work, and find your place in it.
