What's Happening
The County of Santa Clara has announced a preliminary agreement to purchase Regional Medical Center in East San Jose to restore essential trauma, stroke and heart services, as well as labor and delivery. This bold action underscores the County's commitment to ensuring healthcare access for all.
Regional Medical Center sits in the heart of Silicon Valley's highest need community. It has a long track record of providing critical services - mostly notably trauma - that serve not only residents of East San Jose, but all Santa Clara Valley. The County's commitment to acquire the hospital means those services will be restored and protected for generations to come. That work will come at significant cost and effort. Now, more than ever, support from the community is needed.
