Birth Center at Regional Medical Center

How you can support - here are some examples of how your contribution can provide impact:

Gift Registry

Valley Health Foundation is partnering with the County of Santa Clara to support the launch of the Birth Center at Regional Medical Center to strengthen maternal and infant health programs across the region.

Your gift will help expand access to critically needed health services, improve outcomes for high-risk babies, and ensure that every woman in Santa Clara County has the highest quality maternal care.

How Your Support Helps Mothers and Babies:

  • Expand Access to Maternal Care for residents of East San Jose by reopening labor and delivery services at Regional Medical Center.
  • High-Risk Pregnancy Care through the Maternal Fetal Medicine Program, offering specialized support from a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, dietitians, and social workers.
  • Saving the Lives of Premature Infants, at Santa Clara Valley Healthcare’s Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, one of the most advanced in the region, is capable of caring for the tiniest and most medically fragile newborns often transferred from other hospitals by a dedicated infant transport team.

Why This Matters

Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) is the county’s public healthcare system, delivering high-quality patient-centered care for women, children, and families. This public healthcare delivery system includes Regional Medical Center, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, St. Louise Regional Hospital, O’Connor Hospital, and 15 health centers.

With innovative initiatives and all SCVH hospitals designated as Baby-Friendly, Valley Health Foundation supports programs, like the NICU Family Wellness Program, and is helping SCVH redefine what equitable, compassionate maternal and infant care looks like.
