What an incredible day! On Saturday, June 29, the 4th Annual Stars and Strides Run brought together our amazing community for a morning of fitness, fun, and philanthropy at Discovery Meadow in Downtown San Jose. Thanks to our dedicated participants, sponsors, and volunteers, we raised an outstanding $248,000 to support vital healthcare programs for underserved residents in Santa Clara County.
With over 2,300 runners, walkers, and supporters in attendance, the energy was inspiring. Our 5K and 10K Run/Walk were filled with enthusiastic participants, and the Kids Fun Run was a heartwarming highlight, kicked off by 6-year-old Parker and her physician, Dr. Katherine Thomas. Parker’s journey and resilience embody the very reason we come together each year—to ensure that everyone in our community has access to high-quality healthcare, no matter their circumstances. The morning was filled with celebration, including live music from Idol Hands, a beer and mimosa bar courtesy of Hapa’s Brewing Company and Joseph George Fine Wines, and plenty of family-friendly activities like face painting, lawn games, and superhero appearances. It was a true testament to the power of our community coming together for a great cause.
Since launching Stars and Strides, we’ve raised over $1.2 million to support health and healthcare programs at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O’Connor Hospital, St. Louise Regional Hospital and in the community. These funds make a tangible difference, providing critical resources and expanding care for those who need it most.
With 2024’s event behind us, we’re already looking ahead to Stars and Strides 2025, and we can’t wait to see you all there! Your continued support and enthusiasm are what make this event so special, and together, we can keep making a difference.
